About Demo Biljarter

Ik speel inmiddels al vele jaren fanatiek biljart, waarbij mijn hart primair ligt bij de traditionele caramboledisciplines. Of het nu gaat om het fijnzinnige libre, het tactische bandstoten of het uitdagende driebanden; ik ken de dynamiek van het laken door en door. Het is een sport waarin techniek en concentratie samenkomen en die je eigenlijk nooit helemaal onder de knie hebt, wat precies de reden is waarom het blijft boeien.

Naast mijn eigen spel haal ik veel energie uit de organisatorische kant van de sport en het overdragen van kennis. Als secretaris van een actieve vereniging zie ik dagelijks hoe belangrijk het is om liefhebbers te enthousiasmeren en te begeleiden in hun ontwikkeling. Het delen van praktische ervaringen en het helpen oplossen van technische struikelblokken is iets wat ik met ontzettend veel plezier doe.

What does it involve?

We start with the basics: how you stand, how you hold the cue and how you aim.

After that we practise at the table, in small groups so everyone gets enough turns.

No experience needed; I match the pace to the group.

Been playing a while? Then we look at your stroke and work on what is holding you back.

Along the way I show a few shots that look harder than they are.

We finish with a friendly tournament.
